Julian must treat a pregnant heifer with a pelvis that may be too small to give birth, while a cat that lost a leg after being run over by a car suffers another injury in a road accident, but this time, no treatment may be possible.

Peter treats a ewe that is struggling to give birth to twin lambs, and also performs a complicated and risky surgery on a tawny owl to remove the bird's ruptured eyeball.

Peter treats a lamb that was born with a life-threatening cyst full of spinal fluid on its head, which will require delicate and painstaking surgery to safely remove. Julian is called out in the middle of the night to save a cow that has experienced dangerous complications while giving birth, a pig is resistant to being castrated, and a dog swallows a bottle of e-cigarette liquid.

A labrador needs surgery after eating the sock her puppies were playing with, and Peter must find another way to feed a foal that is unable to ingest its mother's milk. A cockatoo fights back when the vets attempt to file down its overgrown beak, two emergencies occur at the same farm in the middle of lambing season, and a newborn calf is running a fever, leaving the owners fearful of pneumonia.

Julian sets up a blood bank for baby alpacas, but collecting donations is harder than expected. Peter is woken at 2am by an emergency call-out for a pregnant cow, and must be at his sharpest to deliver the calf safely. A sheepdog undergoes treatment to remove a tumour, a cat is in need of castration, and Katie visits a bad-tempered pig with very sore eyes.

Julian Norton treats a cow with a rare and complex problem. The cow's stomach has become displaced and moved to the wrong side of her body, causing pain and stopping her eating. Meanwhile in Thirsk, a baby roe deer is brought into the practice as it has stopped taking milk, and a dog has a large tumour removed in a tricky operation.

In this episode Peter gets a call to help a Mother ewe deliver her baby lambs, but there are complications when Peter finds out the two are tangled in the womb. We meet one of the youngest chicken farmers, Jack, who has a few bad eggs in the flock in desperate need of help.

Peter rushes to help a cow, who after delivery, has accidentally pushed out her uterus. Julian goes head to head with Arnie the ram who is very intimidating for those who look his way, but unfortunately he is struggling with his own sight.

In the middle of a storm an an alpaca gave birth to a cria. Peter gets the call to see if he has more than just a chill. Julian introduces us to their rabbit Luna, but she has to learn to share as they take in a new stray Boris. In order to welcome him into the family Boris will need to be castrated.

Julian heads out to help a rare breed of cow named Bertha. She is a champion breeder with a troubling eye infection. Peter returns yet again to the Green's to check on one of their donkeys. It is just one of many visits Peter has made to the Greens in the 36 years he's been helping them, but will things go as routine as before?
