It's all change on the Close as new neighbours 'The Millers' move in and Lisa manages to completely get off on the wrong foot with matriarch of the house Jenna, whilst Barry inadvertently succeeds in catching the eye of her Mother-in-law, the man-eating Nana Miller! Elsewhere Pauline accidentally gets a job as a bar-maid and Roger starts a new fitness regime.

Work in still underway at the new Fersa offices, but with Dan and Greg employed to do the construction, Lisa is starting to wonder whether it'll ever be ready in time. On top of that her feud with new neighbour Jenna is showing no sign of abating, despite husbands Dan and Cameron doing everything they can to try and keep the peace.

Pauline's unexpectedly rapid rise from bar-maid to live-in pub manager is starting to make Dan question just how honourable new landlord Trevor's intentions towards his Mother are. Meanwhile Lisa is pulling out all the stops to make the grand re-opening of Fersa one for the history books.

Tensions are running high on the close when everyone starts noticing just how much Lisa and Dan are fighting these days. They themselves though seem too preoccupied to confront it, Dan still worrying over Trevor's intentions towards his Mother and Lisa busy trying to 'out-party' Jenna when they both throw their respective daughter's birthday bashes on the same day!

Lisa and Dan are forced to acknowledge the problem in their relationship and attempt to patch things up with a 'date night' But things don't exactly go smoothly. Meanwhile Bradley is trying to stop Ella from dating bad-influence Finn, whilst Jenna and Cameron are trying to stop Finn dating the daughter of the notorious Bradley Dawson!

Lisa and Jenna's feud comes to ahead when an escalating argument on the street leads to them both spending the night sharing a prison cell together! Meanwhile Trevor takes Pauline out for the night, Ella and Finn take their relationship to the next level and Denise quits her new agency, taking one of their new recruits Cazzy along with her.

Lisa and Dan's relationship reaches crisis point when Lisa suggests to Dan they need to start seeing a counsellor. Pauline is feeling guilt-stricken over a stolen kiss with Trevor the previous evening and decides she needs to set the record straight. Trapped between their warring families, Finn and Ella make plans to escape for the weekend whilst Denise helps Cazzy find her true calling.

In the explosive finale the truth of Trevor's machinations are finally revealed, throwing the Mount Pleasant gang into real danger. Broken hearts, jealousy and marital problems are all put aside as friends, lovers, rivals and enemies all join forces to save Pauline, Finn and Ella from a firey fate inside a burning pub.
