Balthazar has been sailing around the Atlantic the past six months, vowing never to touch a corpse again. His resolve is tested when he finds a body near a remote island.

Bach investigates the death of a waiter who was impaled after a fall. Called to assist, Balthazar is sidetracked by a woman who was mugged near the Forensic Institute.

The day before Balthazar’s wedding to Maya, Janvier breaks out of police custody. Balthazar is crushed, but Bach vows to bring Lise’s killer to justice once and for all.
