The Brown family makes the most of the long days during the short Alaskan summer. They hatch a plan to deal with a lumber shortage, but then a sudden injury threatens to split the family apart.

In the wake of Ami’s injury, the Browns have to work even harder to stay on track with winter prep. Birdie, Gabe and Bear set off to climb the alpine in search of deer. Bear steps up as hunt leader and his skills are immediately put to the test.
