1. How long is this running for?
This initiative commences on March 3, 2025 at 00:00:00 PT, and ends on May 30, 2025 at 23:59:59 PT.
2. Why did you choose the Canadian Women’s Foundation?
Prime Video in Canada is committed to supporting organizations doing the necessary work of supporting and uplifting communities that need it the most. The Canadian Women’s Foundation is one of these organizations. The Canadian Women’s Foundation continues to do meaningful work to empower and support women on a national level. 3. Is it just the titles with the Watch to Give Back banner? Why did you choose those titles?
There are 19 titles included in this program: 9 to 5, A League of Their Own (1992), Akeelah and the Bee, Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret., Barbie, Bottoms, Charlie's Angels (2000), Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Hidden Figures, I, Tonya, Kill Bill: Volume 1, Lady Bird, Legally Blonde, Little Women (2019), Miss Congeniality, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, Wild, and Women Talking. We collaborated with our internal DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) team and the Canadian Women’s Foundation to select films that are aimed towards highlighting women’s voices and stories.
4. I rented (or purchased) a movie for $4.99, are you donating the full $4.99 or just a portion?
Prime Video will donate 100% of the purchase price for each title, excluding Sales tax. So, the full $4.99 (which is exclusive of Sales tax) from your purchase or rental will be donated to the Canadian Women’s Foundation.
5. Will titles available for viewing through my Channels subscription be included as part of the donation?
Donations are made only if you rent or purchase an eligible movie title. Any eligible movie titles that you stream through your Channels subscription are not included as part of the donation. You must purchase or rent an eligible movie title in order to have the proceeds from that movie title donated. Please select "Rent", "Buy" or "More purchase options" to rent or purchase the eligible title of your choice to contribute your donation.
6. Will my donation be anonymous?
Yes, no personal information or details around your purchase/rental will be shared with the Canadian Women’s Foundation or any other third party.
7. Can I get a personalized tax receipt?
Since Amazon will be donating to the Canadian Women’s Foundation on your behalf, you will not be able to obtain a personalized tax receipt for your rental or purchase.
8. When will the Canadian Women’s Foundation receive my donation?
All donation proceeds will be provided to the Canadian Women’s Foundation in a lump sum at the close of the initiative.
