The Practice of Architecture: Visiting Peter Zumthor

The architect Peter Zumthor lives and works in the remote village of Haldenstein, Switzerland, where he keeps the politics of architecture at a comfortable distance. In 2012, during a visit with the critic Kenneth Frampton, he discusses his current work, including his new master plan for LACMA, as well as his pioneering earlier works such as the Kolumba, the Spa in Vals, and the Zink-Mine-Museum.
