This film is based on Col. Sonam Wangchuk who was awarded the Mahavir Chakra during the Kargil War while leading a column of the Ladakh Scouts in the Batalik Sector. This was the first significant victory in the war and turned the tables. This operation also established the involvement of regular forces of Pakistan.
