Secret Service Agent Alonzo White is sent to Mississippi to investigate activities there. He meets a girl who has been promised a teaching job but a local gangster decides she is the one for him. He shoots his mistress, wounding her, and starts pursuit of the school teacher.. The mistress leaves town but Alonzo arrests the crook for a variety of charges.
