Spike Team

The spikin' six return from summer vacation well-rested and ready to tackle their training for the Student Youth Olympics in Italy. The team welcomes their seventh member, the passionate and dedicated Franci. When Lucky reveals that he's accepted a position to coach the Evertown Men's Volleyball team for the national championship, the girls worry about a possible future without his mentorship.

The team grapples with the jarring reality that Lucky will likely be spending less time with them. Susan dives mouth-first into a new diet, quickly learning that healthy and tasty can cross paths. When she experiences the first-hand benefits of leading a healthier lifestyle, Susan works with her mom to develop a local vegan restaurant. Aww-but Friday used to be Pizza Day!

Ann Mary recounts studying at the High Fashion Academy of Paris. She enters a runway competition after painstakingly preparing the threads for her models, and despite the never-ending work, finds time to spend with her charming new fling, Kevin. After exerting every effort to make it work, Ann Mary and Julio decide to call it quits. However, it won't be so easy to avoid each other's company.

Patty and her boyfriend spend their summer together traveling and volunteering their time to help a friend in need. Back from break, Patty and Ann Mary take tips from Lucky that'll help them take their spikes to the next level. Patty organizes a special event for disabled athletes and crosses paths with a now-familiar face.

When Vicky witnesses the resilience of dogfighting and exotic animal trafficking victims, she can't help but spring into action herself. Collaborating with Beth and Julio, Vicky painstakingly plans to take the perpetrators down. A strategically-timed slap spotlights the culprits of the deplorable operation, and a risky infiltration plan could either save the day or leave Julio without his friend.

Beth obtains sensitive information that could help lead the Spikes right to the Lost Temple. Meanwhile, in order to augment her defensive speed, Lucky assembles a 'firing squad' with the other Spikes and has Beth bombarded with balls. While pondering the findings of her research, Beth may just uncover Madame A's true intentions.

By a beachside campfire, Franci recounts the story of her summer to the group. She shares with the girls that she witnessed their impressive performances at least year's Cup Finals, instantly becoming a fan. Franci began recording the Spike's practices, by dissecting the footage she'd taken, Franci was able to improve her own skills and advance herself to level near that of the Spikes themselves!

In a practice game against the Roses, Jo must refrain from getting too heated in order to set an example for the other Spikes. When she focuses her frustrations on the ball, she hits with such power that even the Roses are impressed. After Lucky reveals the Spike's weaknesses to the Roses in order to even the score, Jo can no longer contain the feelings of betrayal that all of the Spikes have.

Over the summer, Lucky investigated the inexplicable disappearance of the Lost Temple. After connecting all of the dots, Lucky comes to the conclusion that the temple might not be quite so 'lost,' in a traditional sense, after all. Lucky also reveals the true motive behind his 'betrayal' to the Spikes.

The Spikes' rekindled collaboration with Lucky is put to the test when they unexpectedly encounter stormy waters en route to Portofino. Under careful instruction by their captain, the girls team up in order to narrowly avoid capsizing. Once they arrive, the girls are given a little free time to explore the city before they're taken to their temporary digs: a beautiful mansion with a gym!

Lucky and the team venture to the Alps for a team retreat in order to continue their preparation for the Olympics. Against a formidable French team, Franci shines during her first match with the Spikes, inciting a brief bout of envy from Ann Mary. They then prepare for a climb up Monte Rosa the next morning. The fresh mountain air bolsters the girls' performances at practice.

In Rome, Lucky arranges another surprise match for the girls that leaves them feeling duped and embarrassed. Coldwater launches an investigation that he hopes will disqualify the Spikes from the Olympics. Meanwhile, the girls become wide-eyed at the beginning of the Olympics, but that optimistic mindset is soon dashed as they get a look at their future competition.

As Spike Team prepares for their Olympic debut against the Black Roses-now with the newly reunited Lucky at the helm-tensions begin to rise. Despite Lucky's revealing that his abandonment of the team was a ruse to strengthen them, several team members still have doubts when he is spotted with Snake. Meanwhile, the girls find a lead for a gem that involves the legendary Merlin!

The Olympics continue on with the Spikes preparing to face off against the dreaded Thai team. Lucky decides on a new course of action which he hopes will throw the Thai team off their balance. The Spikes have always been known for their offensive style, but now Lucky wants to play defensively instead, much to Jo's displeasure. Meanwhile, the search for the Lost Temple intensifies.

As the Spike Team prepares for their match against the Dominicans, Lucky is putting them through their paces by having them study videos of the other team. Meanwhile, Madam A's henchmen is searching for the Lost Temple using a replica of a cauldron made out of stone from Stonehenge. The team feels torn between their sports obligations and hunt for the temple.

Despite placing first in the round, Lucky is having the girls practice harder than ever, but is giving them a reward for their hard work. They're going to attend a concert to cut loose for the night! Soon, they must redouble their efforts to find the Lost Temple, but little do they know that Coldwater is on their trail searching as well.

On the eve of an important game, the team decides to take it easy and decompress. Susan is showing off the weight she's convinced she has lost. Meanwhile, several of the team members research into Mathias. At the same time, the girls begin to learn about the disability one of the Dutch players have and take inspiration from her heart.

As the girls prepare to face off against the Turkish team, tensions begin to bubble to the surface as the team begins to squabble. At a press conference, they jokingly mock Beth's skills as a defender which leads to Jo angrily reprimanding the girls for giving up secrets. Elsewhere, others fight over boys, which means that an anything-but-cohesive team is heading into a tough game.

Jo becomes depressed after a humiliating loss puts the Spikes at risk of elimination if they do not win their next game. As they try to cheer Jo up, the Spikes challenge the Italian team to a friendly rowing contest to boost morale. Meanwhile, the search for an ancient text that may have been destroyed durning the Inquisition provides a road block in their mission.

The Spikes continue their journey to learn the truth about sports and restore its ancient honor. While on their mission, they come across a legendary sword stuck in stone and a mysterious book that could provide the way to make gold. Meanwhile, Lucky is putting the team through their paces with a tough practice, much to the chagrin of Susan.

As the Olympics continue, the Spikes begin training for their match against the legendary Italian team. The Italians' skills are so legendary and so formidable, that it seems like they're from another planet! Eventually, the Spike Team learns if they want to beat the Italians, they must become like them.

As the team arrives in Naples, they decide to take a break from looking for the Lost Temple and try to depressurize from all the stress. Unfortunately, that is the opposite of what's going on. Jo is distracted by her relationship and claims she doesn't want to get back together with Carlos, or does she? Meanwhile, Madame A is not letting up on her search.

Before their next game, the Spikes take on extensive training at the gym in order to overtake the Russian team on the court. Lucky reminds them that, along with physical strength, the team must also strengthen their unity and creativity. Meanwhile, the search is still on for the Lost Temple with the provision of following only one, vague clue.

On the eve of the Finals, the team searches tirelessly for the Lost Temple. Along the way, they encounter the immortal guardian of the temple. As Madame A is about to strike in an effort to gain her own immortality, the girls find that they were destined to find the Temple all along. They soon learn the true place of the powers they've been looking for this whole time.

After becoming the new Vestals of Olympia's court, the Spikes get new shoes, which some of the team members worry will throw off their game. This seems to be the case when Susan has a panic attack right before a big game against the Italian team. Fortunately for her, Lucky has the solution to her problem and the concerns of the team.
