Hannah and Dan's irascible father, Gregg, has organised a birthday party for himself - something that Hannah finds suspiciously out of character. When Gregg announces that he is getting married to human rights lawyer Beverley, Hannah is upset that he hasn't discussed it with her. Gregg explains that Hannah has ruined all his other relationships, so it's no wonder he kept it quiet.

After learning that she is dangerously unfit, Hannah begrudgingly starts to eat healthily and heads to the gym. There she meets Lucy, who introduces her to the world of women's rugby. Finally, Hannah has found a sport that suits her - in one training session she gets out 24 years of aggression. However, she is soon to meet her nemesis - the team captain, Jenny.

After a chance encounter in a coffee shop, Dan starts hanging out with his old crush from clown camp, Holly . The spark between the two of them is instantly reignited - but there are complications - Holly is eight months pregnant. The father is out of the picture, so Dan is drawn ever closer to her. But will Dan finally be able to grow up and do the honourable thing?

Perpetually jobless Dan is in debt to his mother, Marion - after all, she pays the allowance that enables him to spend time writing his graphic novel 'Wolf Cops'. That means that Dan is Marion's dance partner at her local salsa class. He's got two left feet and is constantly weirded out by fellow dancer Ralph who seems to have an unhealthy interest in his own mother.

Hannah's been on a dating frenzy since she signed up to the latest new app - but the guys she agrees to meet are never as hot or cool as their profiles suggest. But when she meets Dylan, she thinks her luck has changed - Dylan's an insanely hot underwear model with an incredibly cool life, full of free stuff and exclusive members clubs.

It's the wedding day of Dan's best friend Jack and Hannah has joined him as his plus one.
