Popeye

Popeye and Olive enter a dance contest but are not doing well since Popeye is clumsy. Bluto cuts in and dances away. A gulp of spinach and Popeye's feet start tapping. Bluto pushes Popeye off the dance floor and the battle begins.

Popeye and Olive open a restaurant and Wimpy enters to prove to Bluto that he can get a hamburger for free. Encouraged by Wimpy's success, Bluto tries the same thing but instead of Popeye trusting him, they end up in quite a battle.

Popeye and Olive sing their way through this cartoon in operetta style. Popeye proposes but Olive says she loves another sailor and shows him Bluto's picture. Bluto rushes in and the fight starts.

Popeye and Olive see Bluto driving a wagon hitting his weak-looking horse because he cannot pull the wagon. They ask Bluto to stop and when he doesn't, Popeye goes to the rescue of the poor animal.

Popeye and Bluto, rivals for Olive Oyl's affection, call on her bearing gifts. Bluto decides three's a crowd and punches Popeye's nose. Olive tells them one must leave, and they decide whichever one can do the best trick may remain.

Popeye and Olive enter a theater where Bluto, the Great Hypnotist is playing. Bluto uses a hypnotic spell to draw Olive on stage and transforms her into a chicken, But Popeye goes to the rescue. Bluto successfully hypnotizes him as well.

Popeye and Olive are joint owners of a pawn shop. Wimpy is a policeman, and Bluto is a suave, dignified scoundrel instead of his usual rough unkempt self. Bluto is arrested by Wimpy but escapes and runs into the pawn shop.

Popeye decides he needs a wife and rushes to a matrimonial bureau where he selects Olive Oyl's picture. Bluto is also looking and picks the same picture. Bluto and Popeye grab the startled Olive and rush off to the Justice of the Peace.

It's Olive's first visit to a skating rink, and Popeye crashes into the pillar to which she is clinging. The impact sends her flying out of the rink and into the street. Olive finds herself in a crowded department store, on an escalator.

Olive and Popeye are spectators at a football game in which Bluto leads a team composed of large husky players against a team of small thin players. Jealous of Olive's attraction to Bluto, Popeye joins the opposing team.

Popeye and Bluto strive for the title King of the Mardi Gras with the best man winning the title and Olive Oyl.

In this combination of photography and cartoons, a little boy is bullied for reading Popeye books. Popeye comes to life and shows the boy how he masters bullies. Out comes the spinach and the little boy defeats all comers.

The night before her wedding to Popeye, Olive dreams she's already married and has twin baby boys. The babies turn out to be wild, mischievous little guys who give Olive an exhausting run-around.
