Ben is an alcoholic with no future or friends. His wife has left and he becomes more dependent on drink. Sacked by the Hollywood studio where he works, Ben heads for Las Vegas, the only town where the bars never close. In the course of his nocturnal wandering, he meets Sera, a young prostitute. Both drifting, they fall in love and move together, accepting each other as they are, to the very end.
