Gary's trial for the murder of Ciji begins. Karen becomes very upset when she discovers Diana has left with Chip Roberts.

Diana questions her relationship with Chip when she learns his true identity. Val and Ben's relationship suffers a setback when she discovers his occupation.

Chip and Diana are traced to a deserted shack in Oklahoma. Gary hires Laura to work for his company, but also to monitor Abby.

Diana and Karen continue to clash over Chip. Val renews her acquaintance with Ben. Abby meets State Senator Sumner when she delivers a check from J.R. Ewing.

Lilimae adopts desperate measures when Chip refuses to confess. Mack is offered a job on a new crime commission.

Abby leaves Gary when he spends the night with Val. Lilimae undergoes psychiatric help after her attack on Chip.

Gary and Abby marry, and Val is stunned by the news. Mack begins his new job on the crime commission. Diana continues her vigil for Chip, who is still in a coma.

Diana tells the police about Chip's "accidental" murder of Ciji. Karen sees a doctor for chronic insomnia. Gary continues to follow Cathy, the Ciji look-alike.

Abby and Sumner begin a passionate affair. Gary invites Cathy to live at the ranch. Laura wants to become a member of the Lotus Point deal.

Gary convinces Cathy to take a job at the ranch. Having escaped from the hospital, Chip uses the ranch as a hideout. Lilimae comes home from the sanitarium.

Diana plans to leave the ranch with Chip until a chance encounter with Cathy results in an unexpected tragedy for Chip. Karen's pill dependency increases.

Mack discovers that Sumner is having him followed. Karen becomes more dependent on the pills. Gary and Cathy grow closer.

Val discovers she is pregnant, but her joy is short-lived when she realizes who the father is. Karen is urged to get help for her pill addiction.

Mack has evidence against the Wolfbridge Group and expects indictments. Ben learns that Gary is the father of Val's baby. Karen's addiction finally takes its toll.

Karen is committed to a hospital for detoxification. Sumner discredits Mack and asks for his resignation from the Commission. Laura deliberately hides information that could help Mack.

Gary uncovers damaging information about Cathy's past. Karen reaches a critical point in her detoxification program. Ben begins to uncover some of Abby's real estate dealings.

Gary learns that Cathy served time for murder. Karen and Diana reconcile. Mack continues his investigation despite being assaulted.

Laura leads Mack to Sumner and learns the identity of the man behind Apolune. Val makes a decision about Ben.

Laura tells Mack everything she knows about Abby's business deals. Abby discovers that Laura and Sumner are having an affair. Val gives Ben an answer to his marriage proposal.

Gary freezes the assets of the company and locks the office. Val's doctor warns her against going to El Salvador. Cathy confesses her feelings to Gary.

Mack goes undercover to investigate the Wolfbridge Organization. Abby is served with divorce papers. Val learns that she is pregnant with twins.

Gary's life is in danger as he continues to block the development of Lotus Point. Val receives upsetting news from El Salvador.

Mack tries to get Abby to talk about the Wolfbridge Group, which is now pursuing Gary. Ben has been found wounded.

Karen learns that Mack is still investigating the Wolfbridge Group. Ben arrives home. Laura learns that Gary is still alive.
