Mage Frieren, the hero Himmel, and his party took 10 years to defeat the Demon Lord, bringing peace to the world. As an elf who can live for more than a thousand years, Frieren promised to reunite with the party before leaving alone. 50 years later, Frieren visited aged Himmel while she's no different. Seeing Himmel pass away, she regrets not getting to understand him and heads on another journey.
