After several attempts, Nitta perfects his Falcon Shot. At the Osaka qualifiers, Azumaichi Middle School is disqualified against Naniwa FC.

Hyuga scores three goals in the Tokyo elimination finals. Misugi must step onto the field earlier than expected to even out the score.

In the Tokyo qualifying final, Hyuga’s show of mercy on Toho brings a bevy of new complications as the final minutes tick away.

Tsubasa receives a message from friend Genzo, deciding at all costs to get to Brazil. Hyuga also travels, but to Okinawa to see his former coach.

Hyuga regains momentum, but a new obstacle could thwart him still. Nankatsu SC takes on Azumaichi Middle School and their intimidating center.

In the semifinals, Meiwa and Toho Academy kick off the action. With Hyuga on the bench, it’s advantage Meiwa and Takeshi Sawada suffers.

In the last match of the semifinals, Nankatsu SC takes on Furano FC, known for its solid teamwork and steady captain Hikaru Matsuyama.

In the second half, Furano ties the match. Injured, Tsubasa attempts his signature shot, and Matsuyama will do anything to prevent it.

While Tsubasa hopes the pain from his injury will subside so he can take on Toho, Hyuga swallows his pride, imploring Coach Kitazume to play.

The Nankatsu and Toho Academy captains are determined to win. Hyuga bears his fangs with his Tiger Shot; Tsubasa resorts to his Spin Shot.

Toho manages to take the lead with two goals as Tsubasa, injured, despairs. But he has an idea: he’ll risk it all to put a stop to Hyuga.

Nankatsu SC fortifies their defense while they wait for Tsubasa to return to the field and make his move. Hyuga of course seizes the opportunity.

It’s three to three. Takasugi’s foul gifts a free kick to Hyuga, who prepares to unleash his Tiger Shot.

The final drags on into overtime, and neither Tsubasa nor Hyuga plan on sharing the title. Physical pain and injury become secondary.

With the final ending, Tsubasa and Hyuga show what they’re made of. It’s about more than scores. It’s personal. Who will become champion?
