The movie is a family drama which relates to the life of an individual woman Bindiya (Rekha) who, after being separated at an early age from her wealthy parents, lives a poverty-stricken life. Fate had something different in store for her and she becomes the fake wife of a wealthy man Shyam Kapoor(Vinod Mehra). A common enemy of theirs tries to break them apart but it, in turn, brings them closer.
