Eleventh Hour

Professor Hood is alerted to the grim discovery of a field filled with the bodies of fetuses all of whom share the same DNA, Hood thinks it is the work of the mysterious Gepetto.

Professor Hood's task is to oversee the work of the Local Disease Control Committee, an enthusiastic group of volunteer scientists, containing the outbreak and locating the source.

When Professor Hood hears that his old friend Dr. Richard Adams has suffered a breakdown he goes to see him.

Professor Hood is disquieted to learn from the media that an oncologist called Dr. Williams is claiming that a patient has been cured of his cancer by drinking some local spring water.
