Giada in Italy

Giada and her daughter, Jade, are in Florence, Italy, to immerse themselves in the culture and honor their family heritage. She prepares a hearty "first night" meal for them, including One-Pot Creamy Orzo and Open-Face Fruit Pie.

Inspired by celebrated Florentine chef Fabio Picchi, Giada creates an Italian menu with a California spin. Recipes include Prosciutto Broth with Farro and Branzino Puttanesca.

Giada visits the filming locations of her grandfather's movie, then returns home to create a meal inspired by him and the Florence landscape. Recipes include Asparagus and Grilled Melon Salad and Chianti and Fava Bean Spaghetti.

Inspired by the fashion influences all over Florence, Giada hosts a cocktail party near the city's famed Duomo. She prepares fashionable menu with Crab Arancini, Avocado White Bean Dip and Grappa Poached Pears with Speck.

Giada learns the art of cannoli-making from a Florence pastry chef, then heads to her home away from home to create a unique cannoli filling with Chocolate Amaretto as well as Baci Ice Cream Sandwiches and Aperol Spritz Slushies.

Giada creates a lovely dinner to be shared as the sun goes down over the Ponte Vecchio. The menu includes Burrata and Strawberry Bruschetta, Grilled Artichokes with Bagna Cauda and Pappa Al Pomodoro.
