Grounded for Life

Sean humiliates Lily by overreacting when he sees her in a car making out with a guy. As he tries to mend things, he discovers that something else is upsetting Lily even more.

When Sean finds a fake ID in Lily's room, he doesn't know how to confront her since he was in her room 'illegally.'

Jimmy's science project is late, because his parents made him go with them to a Ramones concert. When Sean pleads Jimmy's case with the principal, he only succeeds in getting Jimmy thrown out of school.

Sean's convinced that Sister Helen is out to get Lily and decides to get revenge. And, after seeing 'The Exorcist,' Jimmy's convinced that he's possessed by Satan.

Sean's stunned when he gets a call from Action Mountain amusement park in New Jersey to come and pick up his daughter Lily who had told him she was having dinner with a friend and her mother.

Lily freaks out when Sean says they can't afford to send her on a ski trip with her classmates. But things get worse when she learns that Sean inherited some money and spent it on a guitar for himself.

Claudia, hoping to bond more with Lily, takes her to New Jersey for a weekend of shopping at the outlet malls. But things fall apart when Lily starts hanging out with two older girls from her school and Claudia lets it slip that Lily's still a virgin.

Henry gets a horrible haircut that Sean claims is the work of a drunk barber. Jimmy knows the truth but he's sworn to secrecy. And Eddie scores concert tickets for Lily that she thinks could be the key to instant popularity.

When Eddie wants an introduction to one of Claudia's friends, Sean reminds him of his history of outrageous screw-ups with women.

Sean catches a fly ball that's still in play and loses a game for the Yankees. Claudia's upset when the bachelorette party she's throwing for her girlfriend gets disrupted by Sean, Eddie and the boys, who have been chased home by irate fans.

Sean and Claudia are dismayed when Walt gives Jimmy a BB rifle as a birthday present. But it's Walt who's really upset when he lands in the emergency room with a BB in his butt.

While Claudia's working extra shifts to earn money for a family vacation in Cancun, things spin out of control at home with Lily getting her tongue pierced, Henry eating out of garbage cans and Jimmy beating up on his classmates.

Sean volunteers to referee for Henry's soccer team and faces some unexpected moral dilemmas. And Lily has a crush on the soccer concession stand guy and begins obsessing about him.

When Lily is miserable because she and her girlfriends have been booed off the stage at the school's talent show, Sean and Claudia have some explaining to do.

Sean has some explaining to do when Lily's devastated to discover that she was born out of wedlock.
