In Spain, we start by exploring the majesty of Madrid. Then we hit the highlights of Castile with visits to Toledo and Salamanca, discover the soul of Sevilla, travel down south to Andalusia's white-washed hilltown, Arcos de la Frontera, and soak up the sun on the Costa del Sol. In Portugal, we start in Lisbon, a ramshackle mix of glorious old and fun-loving new. Then we head to the Algarve coast to savor the pristine beaches and the sleepy fishing village of Salema, before traveling into the countryside to rummage through the riches of Portugal's Golden Age.
