In a Dublin hotel the wily abilities of alcoholic nightwatchman Jas have secured him a comfortable position, despite management disapproval of his drinking. The arrival of ambitious new assistant Ranj is seen by Jas as a threat to his job, but, during a traumatic nightshift, the young newcomer helps him finally discover his true self.
