Wish Me Luck

Following her husband's death, Vivien Ashton joins work as an agent along with Emily Whitbread. Both prove to be good fits for the SOE, as Kit returns to England and meets Liz.

Vivien, Emily and Colin try parachuting into France, but Colin breaks an ankle. Vivien and Emily try their best to keep up with their disguises, while Colin ends up shooting a suspected spy.

Liz takes Colin's place after he escapes to Spain. Her marriage to Laurence is over and she and Kit have parted on bad terms. Meanwhile, Vivien travels to France to trace a long-lost daughter.

Local resistance leader Gordon resents his new boss-Liz, who's there to destroy the U-boat transmitter station. At the same time, Vivien pursues a mission of her own, arousing suspicion and putting the others at risk.

In the aftermath of the failed raid, the team wonders if there's a traitor in their midst. Then Emily's transmitter and codebook are confiscated by the Germans, and her beloved host family is arrested. Cad asks Kit to go to France to handle the situation.

Emily wants to kill Annette to avenge her father's death, but Luc gets to it before her. Vivien is asked to go back to London but she wants to be closer to Yvette. The women are arrested.

Kit and Liz ambush the car carrying Vivien and Yvette and end up killing Voller. Vivien, who refuses to leave Yvette's side, puts everyone's lives in danger and is killed.

Despite Vivien's capture, the raid on the arms factory must continue. The mission is successful, but the team's rescue attempt goes badly. With German soldiers closing in, Liz is forced to commit a ghastly act.
