Hero Dad

Superhero Dad is going to teach Miao how to rollerskate. He's so eager to get started he forgets to put on the proper safety gear, that and the fact that he does not actually know how to roller skate!

Dad, Miao, Guau and Tua are walking through the park when Miao takes a piece of gum out of her pocket and starts chewing it. Dad is alarmed and wags a finger at Miao! She is too young to be chewing gum! So, without thinking, Miao spits the bubble gum on the ground, to which Dad reacts with even greater alarm!

Dad, Miao, and Tua are decorating a birthday party for Guau - - two floor-to-ceiling columns of balloons framing the birthday cake in between! But halfway through building the columns, they run out of balloons! Oh, no! How can they make two unfinished columns of balloons look like beautiful, festive birthday party decorations? Miao gets an idea!

Dad, Miao, Guau and Tua are strolling through the park when a breeze blows a plastic bag up to them. Our friends try to throw the bag in the trash but, try as they might, as if it has a mind of its own, the plastic bag seems to have other ideas. Miao realizes, the plastic bag belongs in the recycling bin and the bag seems to agree.

As Dad and Miao stroll through the park, the wind suddenly opens Dad's umbrella, blowing it away and out of control, kicking off a musical number of intricate choreography between Dad and Miao as they try to regain control of, and close, the umbrella. Miao finally has the ingenious idea to tie the umbrella closed!

Dad and Miao return home from a visit to the veterinarian with Guau wearing a big cone collar. Already annoyed with the uncomfortable, big clumsy cone collar, a hungry Guau tries to eat but the big cone collar gets in the way.

Miao, Guau and Tua have made up a little play that Dad is going to record on video, but the Tree character has not been assigned to anyone. Someone has to be the Tree! Guau? Miao? They each try to switch from their original character to being the Tree but none of that works because they are needed to play their original characters.

Dad and Miao are going to bake a cake, following the recipe in their cookbook, when Tua flies over to them. As Dad and Miao carefully follow the recipe, counting out the proper amount of each ingredient, a tricky Tua sneaks in some ingredients of her own. The result is a cake that smells so delicious Dad and Tua each want to dive in and eat the whole cake!

It's almost dinner time so Dad asks Miao to set the table. She is happy to but the problem is that little Miao cannot reach, or even see, the top of the table. She's going to have to figure something out. She tries a few different ideas, unsuccessfully.

Miao finds an egg that has fallen from its nest in the tree above. She is so excited, she wants to keep the egg! Dad helps Miao understand that, even though she found it, she can't keep the egg because it doesn't belong to her. He explains that the egg belongs in the nest and the mama bird needs their help returning the egg to its nest.

Tua has locked Guau in the bathroom cabinet. Miao will try to find her doggy by following trails of footprints left on the floor right after mopping it. Miao needs to distinguish which footprints belong to whom so she can follow the right trail of footprints to find Guau. In the end, Miao successfully follows Guau's footprint and finds him, despite mischievous Tua trying to throw her off track!

It's time for Dad to teach Miao how to brush her teeth but Miao would rather just play around and have fun with her toothbrush. Dad tries to insist again and again but Miao does everything she can to try to get out of it, even LIE to Dad! Finally, Dad, with a little help from Guau and Tua, helps Miao realize that brushing teeth can actually be really fun!

Miao, lying in her bed at night, eyes wide-open, can't sleep. Her favourite stuffed animal is missing! Dad desperately helps her look for it! He even tries to soothe her with another toy but nothing can comfort her like her beloved dinosaur. Finally, Dad and Miao discover who the little (teddy bear) thief is... but Guau looks so cute all curled and sound asleep, hugging Miao's dinosaur!

When a fly sneaks into the bathroom through the bathroom window, a determined Dad desperately tries everything to catch it! But the fly is smart and equally determined to not be captured and successfully eludes Dad again and again. Finally, Miao figures out a way to solve the situation by allowing the fly to leave back out through the open window, safe and sound.

Miao is trying to build a tower with square shapes of different sizes and a triangle. Every time she tries, she ends up with a piece missing or misplaced and the tower collapses. Finally, with a little bit of patience and a little bit of help from Dad, they successfully build the perfect tower, together!

Dad wants to play charades with Miao, Guau and Tua and have some fun all together. They are all supposed to take turns pantomiming the words while the others try to guess with drawings. But Tua doesn't want to wait her turn and keeps trying to steal the turn all the time. Finally, Miao will find a way to help Tua understand to respect the game rules.

Mia, Dad, Tua and Guau go to the park and plant a seed in the hopes that it will bloom very fast. Unfortunately, nothing seems to happen and Miao, Guau and Tua soon get bored. Dad will show them that they need to be patient as a plant needs a lot of different things in order to grow healthy and strong.

Dad and Guau have a cold and they don't want to take their syrup. Miao and Tua have to convince them. What can they do to make them take the syrup? Would they force them? Would they trick them into it? If Guau falls for the trick, maybe Miao can convince dad too!

Dad wants to have a dancing contest at home, just for fun. Miao likes the idea but feels too shy to let anyone see her dance. Nothing seems to help her overcome her shyness: not Dad's silly clumsiness or even Tua and Guau's ridiculous dance moves! But as Tua and Guau's crazy messing around starts to get out of control, Miao has to be brave and steps up to use the rhythms of her tap dancing.

Dad and Miao have cut cookie dough into different geometric shapes and are rearranging them into different shapes. Miao asks Dad to make a puppy out of the dough for her but, try as he might, Dad's cookie dough modeling skills leave much to be desired. Finally, Miao helps Dad rearrange the geometric shapes and models herself a geometric cookie dough puppy! Yay!

Miao and Tua have troubles deciding which bin is the right one in order to throw a crystal bottle. Dad will help them understand that each bin has a different color and is used for a different kind of waste. Would they be able to do it by themselves following Dad's instructions?

It's lunch time but Miao doesn't want to stop playing. As much as Dad explains to Miao that she must first eat and then play, Miao'd rather keep playing with her toys than eat the soup. Not unexpected that Miao ends up dropping a toy and showering Guau with soup!

Guau and Miao find a worm and Dad shows them how to take care of it. But Tua starts acting weird, what's going on? Tua wants to eat the worm! Dad, Miao and Guau will do everything to keep Tua away from the worm while... Wait! The worm became a chrysalis. What's going to happen?

Time to go to bed! But every time the light switches off, Miao and Guau hear some really scary sounds. Terrifying!! But they soon find out that Tua is making the scary noises because she is not able to fall asleep. What should they do? Miao realizes Tua is making the noise because she is scared sleeping alone, so Miao invites Tua to sleepover in her bedroom.

Miao had been painting and gets some black paint on her hand. Dad insists she washes her hands, but she doesn't want to and will try everything she can to avoid it. Miao wipes the black paint off onto her dress. Then, as if it was alive, the black paint spot starts sticking to everything and everybody until it finally ends up back on Miao's hand.
