When The Little Prince lands on this planet, the Fire Bird (the dead king put the bird in charge of handing the crown to the legitimate successor) is bent on persecuting the emerald-cutter people, who have fled to a floating conch. The Little Prince discovers the root of the problem : the jealousy between the dead king’s two children : princess Feng and prince Huang.

Laudion (the streetlight seller) has set up rows of streetlights to flood the nights with light and allegedly protect its inhabitants from the Globies - night creatures who are supposed to have attacked and “petrified” one of them. The Carapost deliver mail and goods to cities set on rocky peaks. And Atsign, is the only one who can guide him. So when he decides to go and work for Zyg and his circus, everything goes wrong and the Whati (the planet’s inhabitants) panic.
