In June of 2008, Cedar Rapids, Iowa experienced the worst flooding in it's existence. A flood that exceeded the 500 year flood plan and covered the entire downtown in river water. 10 square miles of the city were under water. And, the city was relying on one last water pump to provide water to the entire city of over 100,000 citizens.
