Back to Borken

In May 1945, the young British officer Manfred Gans travels through his old homeland with a new identity - an adventurous journey with the great aim of finding his parents still alive in the concentration camp. 70 years later, the Gans family came to Germany from the USA and Israel. The film follows their journey and tells of the alienation and rapprochement between the family and their hometown.
