The Eagle: A Crime Odyssey

DCS Hallgrim Hallgrimson, nicknamed The Eagle (Ørnen), is on his way home to Iceland to visit his dying mother when his plane is detained at Copenhagen Airport, and he is put in charge of an intense operation.

Marie and Hallgrim are in Sweden on the trail of Sergei and Luka Bukanov, wanted for killing the Russian minister of justice. With the help of Swedish police, the getaway car is located.

Hallgrim witnesses an argument between a Norwegian businesswoman and a Danish biker at the hotel where he is staying. Later that night, the woman’s body is discovered behind the hotel.

After liquidating Berit, Russian hitman Sergei is back in Denmark. He has hidden a GPS tracker in Hallgrim’s car. When Hallgrim finds it, he is furious with himself for letting Sergei stay one step ahead of him.

The police have impounded enough enriched uranium to blow up Copenhagen.

The CCTV footage from the deathbed of Russian hitman Sergei reveals that a bomb might be detonated in the center of Copenhagen.

Escaping to Sweden with her pimp, Elena has left her baby in a Danish hospital.

Hovering between life and death, Hallgrim is watched over by Marie and in his hazy state, haunted by the dead Sergei.
