In 605 B.C, Jerusalem was conquered by the Babylonians and many of their best young men were taken into captivity. Daniel was among those taken to Babylon to serve the powerful King Nebuchadnezzar. Faced with imminent death, Daniel proves himself a trusted adviser and is placed among the King's wise men.
