The Black King (1932)

A Mississippi Baptist church replaces its pastor with a new fast talking back-to-Africa advocate. The old pastor, saddened, dies of grief. Run out of town the fast talker moves on the Tulsa where he proclaims himself "The Emperor of the United States of Africa". He journeys first to Chicago and then to Harlem raising money along the way for the trip back to Africa.
