The Mummy of Tutankhamun

1905 - 1914. Egyptologist Howard Carter, hired by Lord Carnarvon, finds evidence of the undiscovered tomb in Tutankhamun. But his dreams of making the archaeological find of the century are dashed by the outbreak of WW1.

1918 - 1922. With the end of the war, Carter resumes his search for the lost tomb of Tutankhamun. He encounters Lord Carnarvon’s daughter, Evelyn, all grown up. They soon fall in love, but must keep their affair secret from her father.

1922. Carter finally discovers the tomb, and untold riches within. But Egyptian officials try to seize the treasure, bankrupting the dig. The discovery of Carter’s affair with Evelyn threatens to ruin Carnarvon’s friendship with Carter.

1923. Carnarvon falls fatally ill from blood poisoning, forcing a reconciliation with Carter and his daughter. But his death forces Evelyn back to England to deal with the estate. A heartbroken Carter finds that she has married another man.
