Pure Art, the work of Franklin Williams

This film follows artist Franklin Williams, 77, who overcame a severe learning disability to become a staple of the Bay Area Funk Art scene in the 1960's and 70's. As he prepares for his first major show in decades, William's process and passion for creating new work are revealed and the idea of what makes someone an artist is explored. Williams emerges, as ever, hopeful, curious and making art.
