La collectionneuse

Eric Rohmer’s first color film pushes the Six Moral Tales series into new, darker realms with its story of a bombastic, womanizing art dealer and his painter friend, who go to a seventeenth-century villa on the French Riviera for a relaxing summer getaway. Their idyll, however, is disturbed by the presence of the bohemian Haydée, whom they accuse of being a "collector" of men.
