Ry Cooder, Wim Wenders’ frequent musical collaborator, travels to Havana to bring a group of aging Cuban musicians—whose talents had been virtually forgotten following Fidel Castro’s takeover—out of retirement. Within a few months, the group go from obscurity to world stardom.
