B Company are sent to South Africa on exercise and to help build a new medical centre. The locals' situation leads Jeremy Forsythe and Andy Butcher to let matters of the heart cloud their judgements.

The men find themselves helping to rescue hostages in the African state of Mokindi. Paul and Sadie are reunited but have to decide whether romance is their best option.

The remaining men fight to escape from Mokindi with one soldier sacrificing his life for the others. Dave and Donna have to decide if it is the end of the line for their marriage.
