Thomas and Friends

Flynn is the Sodor Island Fire Engine. He can roll on the road as well as on the tracks but when he first sets out on the road, he is nervous and wobbles. Charlie makes fun of him but when a fire breaks out at the Fat Controller's shed, Flynn proves he isn't a "big red wobble on wheels", he's the hero of the day!

It's a bad day on Misty Island. Ol' Wheezy has stopped working! The Logging Locos don't know what to do and that makes them sad. Thomas is sure he can help. His friends Den or Dart at the Dieselworks will fix Ol' Wheezy easily!

Dowager Hatt is having a welcome to Sodor party. Very important visitors are coming. Thomas hopes he can show the visitors around the Island. Gordon wants to show the visitors around because he pulls the Express. Thomas says he is strong enough to pull the Express too!

On the Island of Sodor, fog is beginning to swirl in to Brendam Docks. Percy is listening to one of Salty's tales about the Monster of Brendam, who comes out when the fog rolls in. Percy is wide-eyed but Cranky thinks it is all nonsense. Percy sets off to find the Monster and prove Cranky wrong!

Its winter time on Sodor and Henry is not happy because he doesn't like the snow. Charlie wants to show Henry that snow is fun and so decides to hide behind a snowman. When Charlie tells Henry a joke, Henry can't see anyone and thinks that the snowman is talking to him!

A photographer arrives on Sodor to take photographs of the engines for The Great Railways of Sodor book. After Gordon boasts that he will be the most photographed engine on Sodor, Thomas is determined to be photographed more than him.

Thomas is helping Whiff with a heavy train of rubbish. When Thomas crashes into Whiff, rubbish flies into the air and all over Thomas! Thomas is the stinkiest engine on Sodor!

At the farm, Farmer McColl needs help. His scarecrow is old and has to go to be mended. This means there is nothing to scare away the crows and they are eating all the seed he has planted in his fields. Thomas steps in to scare away the crows.

Gordon the grand engine bashes into some trucks at the Docks - and his buffer falls off! All engines must have a buffer and so Gordon is given a yellow and black Diesel buffer. Gordon is horrified!

Percy and Diesel have been given a very unusual job. They are to pick up a very heavy and old organ: a calliope. Its metal pipes are rusty and it doesn't work anymore and so they have to take it to be melted down. Percy thinks that it must be special and so decides to make it work and save it from the Smelter's Yard.

A famous composer is visiting the Island of Sodor, to write a piece of music, especially about the Island. Thomas is very excited - and very proud that he has been chosen to take the Famous Composer on a tour, so that he can be inspired by the Sounds of Sodor!

Edward is determined to find Salty a Christmas present but Salty says "thank you but no thank you" to everything he finds. Edward is worried. Then, Salty points out that Edward has given him a story which is, for him, the best Christmas present of all!

On the Island of Sodor, it's Sodor Surprise Day! This is the day when everyone on Sodor has fun surprising each other, making them laugh! All the engines look forward to it except Gordon...Gordon thinks Sodor Surprise Day is silly. Thomas decides to show Gordon just how much fun the day can be.

Emily is given the task of finding the Fat Controller's missing top hat. If successful, she will be given the prestigious and much coveted job of pulling the Winter Party Train. Emily is so busy boasting that she completely forgets to look for the hat!

When James is asked to take Farmer McColl's sheep to the Sodor Farmer's fair, James is much more concerned with preserving his own cleanliness than following instructions.

Whiff is given the job of collecting trucks of rubbish from across the island. Whiff hears Spencer being praised for his grandness. Whiff wishes that he, too, could be a grand engine. So, instead of collecting his rubbish trucks, Whiff searches for opportunities to be grand.

Spencer is happy because is he to show the new shunting engine Stafford round the island. Stafford is an electric engine and runs on batteries. Victor tries to tell Spencer that batteries run out! But Spencer thinks he knows all about batteries. He wants to show Stafford off to the Island and feel grand

Rheneas is excited to find out that there are Christmas trees on Misty Island and wants to bring one back to the quarry to surprise the other engines. With the help of the Logging Locos, Toby and Rheneas take back the best tree of all!

The Thin Controller leaves Peter Sam in charge to go to a meeting with The Fat Controller. The Thin Controller tells Peter Sam not to bother Victor with little things, until Victor makes his weekly repair visit at tea time.

It is the Fat Controller's birthday! He introduces Thomas to Winston - the Fat Controller's new track inspection vehicle. Thomas is to show Winston what it is to be Really Useful and take Winston on all his jobs.
