Stephanie is worried she is turning into Maggie after reacting to Gabby's desire to get a tattoo. In an effort to prove otherwise, she ends up pushing Gabby into wanting to get one even more.

Forced to face her fear of swimming, Stephanie makes the rest of the family confront their fears leading to an uncomfortable situation on top of an amusement park rollercoaster.

Stephanie is the one shaken up after she takes Gabby to see her first scary movie against Charlie's wishes. James snuck into the same movie with Aaron and uses Stephanie's fears to convince her their house is haunted.

Aaron discovers Maggie has a secret career as a romance novelist, which she denies, while doing a report on a grandparent. The family hatches a plan to get Maggie to reveal her secret identity.

Stephanie tries to teach James and Aaron selfless generosity by helping Mr. Ebnetter fix his boat. Soon, the whole family is helping, but for all the wrong reasons. Guest Stars: John Michael Higgins and Molly Hagan

Gabby and James' fighting gets so out of hand that Stephanie and Charlie stop punishing them altogether, hoping they will eventually work things out by themselves, but their plan does not go as smoothly as they hope.

With Gabby and the parents arguing, a smug Maggie takes Gabby for the weekend to straighten her out. When Gabby and Maggie get along surprisingly well, Stephanie must show Gabby the "real" Maggie she grew up with.

After getting a ticket, Gabby has to have Stephanie with her if she wants to drive, but Stephanie starts to get a little too comfortable with Gabby's friends.

After Stephanie helps Aaron beat James at a game, Charlie worries that she has upset the balance of power in the family. Gabby gets caught in the middle of a fight between Stephanie and Maggie.

Maggie bribes James and Aaron to pretend to be her younger brothers when she starts dating a younger man, who happens to be blind. Gabby gets punished for having Noah over when her parents are out. Guest Star: Carlos PenaVega

James gets humiliated by a girl at school that he likes, so he plans his revenge by running against her in an election with Stephanie's help. Charlie asks Gabby to help him replace his lost wedding ring. Guest Star: Breanna Yde

Gabby gets asked to the prom by Noah, but is worried about fitting in at the after party. Stephanie and Charlie get a little too overprotective when they find out the kids are throwing a hotel party afterwards.

Gabby loans Stephanie's expensive new purse to a popular girl, trying to fit in. When it comes back ruined, she has to replace it before Stephanie goes to show it off to the new society group she is also trying to impress.

Stephanie and Charlie learn that a past punishment of James' was unwarranted and award James a "get out of jail free" card. Realizing the gold they have, the kids barter the card among themselves.

When the Phillips' cousin Jamal, an older doppelganger of James, comes to town, Charlie fears he will be a bad influence on his younger cousin. Aaron and Maggie teach Gabby how to be fancy for an upcoming date.
