The Gnarfs

Freeman believes the Gnarfs are ill, as Gobbo has turned yellow and is all swollen after he was bitten by a Zork. He sets up a hospital and cures one Gnarf after the other, even though they're not ill at all.

The Gnarfs damage Freeman's radio. Freeman goes crazy and through a technical defect he turns himself into Freeminator. The Gnarfs find this super.

Freeman teaches the Gnarfs arithmetic. Unfortunately, he doesn't take into account that the examples he gives using chomps and numbers of clubs don't really introduce the Gnarfs to arithmetic, but stir up much more primitive drives.

Freeman intends to win the Gnarfs over for the idea of compassion and brotherly love. What better time is there for this than Christmas. He confronts the Gnarfs with Christmas rituals from a wide variety of cultures.

To prevent the Zorks from continuously stealing chomps, an early-warning and communication system is installed. When the alarm is raised, it appears to the Gnarfs as if Freeman were the chomp thief.
