Food is Love with Chef Lasse Sorensen

Chef Lasse Sorensen meets his Italian counterpart Tony Pietoso, owner of the Italian restaurant Café Napoli. Tony shares the story of his journey to St. Louis as an orphaned teenager from Italy and his rise to restaurant greatness.

On a quest to learn more about Chinese dumplings, Chef Lasse Sorensen meets several women making a difference in the City of St Louis including Angela Zeng, Chinese immigrant and creator of the prebiotic drink Karviva. Highlights include a visit with the Mayor of St. Louis and a womens empowerment organization called Rung.

Chef Lasse explores the connections between food and music when he visits Steve's Hotdogs, the brainchild of acclaimed Urge frontman Steve Ewing. Later Chef Lasse gets to know the former chef for the Grateful Dead Chef Jimmy Voss.
