Flash and Zarkov become embroiled in a clash between Zurn and Dactyl clans on Mongo. Meanwhile, Joe jeopardizes his career by discussing his otherworldly adventures.

After discovering contaminated water that had been supplied to the Mongo tribes, Flash and Aura go on a trek to find an antidote to prevent a catastrophic loss of life.

Flash finds himself in the desolate snowfields of Frigia where he must free the Frigian Queen in order to pass the final test and fulfill The Prophecy.

Terek, now confirmed as "The One" spoken of in The Prophecy who is destined to overthrow Ming, enlists the support of the Cantons and prepares for armed rebellion.

Ming refuses to surrender and Terek's troops take Nacent City by force. Dr. Gordon disables the core of the rift generator and sets it to self-destruct after he, Nora, Flash, Dale and Zarkov ride the final rift back to Earth.
