Relu Oncescu works as a taxi driver and a debt collector for a local mafia boss Capitanu. What seems like an average day gets complicated after Relu discovers that his 12 year old son is in the emergency room.

After a discussion in the park, Nico asks Relu to recover a group of prostitutes who are under the protection of Capitanu.

When Teddy accompanies Relu to take care of "business" again, Capitanu is pleased with the results.

Gina finds out what her husband really does for a living. While following Relu, she discovers he is meeting a woman at a gym, but fails to discover her identity.

After finding out about Relu's real job, Gina does not want him in their house. As his family starts to fall apart, Relu spends more time in local pubs. Capitanu is displeased with Relu's services and makes him perform tasks for free.

At school, Relu's son is challenged by a classmate. The situation gets out of control, leading to a fight. A call from the principal unites Relu and Gina in defending their boy.

Relu decides to change his life and return home. When Relu goes to see Capitanu in the hospital, he finds out that his boss has been watching him and that his family is in danger.

After nearly losing his life, Relu returns home and discovers Capitanu's missing money.
