U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades is tipped to a case of insider trading with links to billionaire hedge fund king Bobby 'Axe' Axelrod, setting off a cat and mouse game where the stakes are high and intensely personal.

Chuck discovers that a rival has made inroads in the Axe case and that he needs to get it back. Meanwhile, Axe makes an activist play for a family owned bakery corporation in a move that reverberates back to Chuck.

Axe must fend off a short squeeze led by Chuck's father. Chuck learns about the inner workings of Axe Capital, but must also take action against his father for stock manipulation. Axe reckons with a betrayal.

A death forces both Axe and Wendy to do some soul searching, while creating a devastating setback for Chuck. In a brilliant counter move, Chuck enlists Lonnie Watley to expose a corrupt judge and grease the wheels for a future move.

As Lara plans for the family to flee the country, Axe accuses Wendy of leaking the info that could land him in prison. A defiant Wendy threatens to expose Chuck, who goes in search of Axe and an explosive confrontation. Season finale.
