Boss, Charley, Mose, and Button freegraze cattle in the Old West. It is a lonely existence, lived outside the boundaries of civilisation, their camaraderie is it's one consolation. Each of these men has an unspoken reason for choosing such a life. The crew runs into trouble in Harmonville, a nowhere town run by a big rancher, Baxter, and his henchmen, one of whom is the sheriff.
