The murder of her colleague Yela Antic won’t leave Ellie alone, she wants to hold Gedeon accountable for the theft of the murder weapon. Meanwhile, Gedeon dives deeper into his past.

A burned female corpse is found in Austria. Instead of Ellie, her new colleague becomes a liaison officer in the German-Austrian special unit. Gedeon doesn’t trust his colleague, Rafael Lutz.

Ellie and Gedeon are working together again, but Gedeon is secretly looking for the artist Oskar Koschlick. After yet another murder, Ellie is given an important piece of information by the journalist Charles Turek.

While new evidence leads them to a Reichsburger, Gedeon continues to search for Koschlick. He increasingly suffers from hallucinations. Ellie and Rafael clash.

After yet another murder, it looks like the special unit are dealing with a serial killer. The description fits their lead suspect. On the Gössen construction site, police and activists are fighting each other. Gedeon encounters a mythical creature.

An apparent motorcycle accident on a mountain pass road leads Ellie and Gedeon to a ritualistic spot in the woods. They find out more about the legend of Schinder Jackl. Turek confesses something to Ellie.

During a police operation in the woods a mysterious man surrenders himself, without revealing his name. What is his connection to the murders? Gedeon gathers his remaining strength to find Koschlick.

A property search ends disastrously and still the officers do not know how the suspects and murders are connected. To solve the case, Ellie and Gedeon have to push their boundaries to the extreme.
