Set in 1969 London, unemployed actors Withnail (Richard E Grant) and "I" (Paul McGann) live in the squalid squalor of a flat in Camden. Consists of cheap drugs, bad alcohol and lighter fluid. Everything goes wrong on a trip to Withnail's Uncle Monty's (Richard Griffiths) retreat in the beautiful countryside!
