Earth in 1000 years

There are signs that Earth's great stores of ice on Greenland and Antarctica are beginning to melt in the wake of rising sea surface temperatures. With sea levels beginning to rise, scientists are looking back at past geological ages to understand the influence of ocean currents and other factors. They are searching for insights into where our planet may be headed 1000 into the future and beyond.
