Best friends Ermanno and Giacomo own a furniture business that faces bankruptcy. One night, the two dig a hole in the yard of the sofa cooperative and stumble upon something remarkable: oil coming from the subsoil on their own property. This discovery arouses contradictions and conflicts abound between the two and their town.
