During the 1980s, John Nettles spent more than a decade on the British Channel Islands amassing a wealth of information from WWII. We follow him as he retraces his search for the marks the war has left on the islands and on its inhabitants. Even on this tiny group of islands, there was collaboration and resistance, heroism and infamy, repression and violence, and denunciation and deportation.
