Experience Germany and Scandinavia with Rick Steves, best-selling travel author and host of public television's Rick Steves' Europe and public radio's Travel with Rick Steves. In Germany, Munich is our first stop before we head toward the Alps to tour "Mad" King Ludwigs castles. Then, we cruise the romantic Rhine, take the night watchman's tour of medieval Rothenburg, visit Cologne's famous Gothic cathedral and spend some time exploring the Black Forest. Our last stop in Germany is Berlin - home of Potsdamer Platz, Europe's newest Time Square. Our travels to Scandinavia include visits to Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Findland.

For a glimpse of 17th century Denmark, we board a train, then ferry to Aero Island where a bike ride among thatched cottages, "snooping mirrors," and cobbled alleys reminds us of the world of Hans Christian Andersen.

Then we board a ship for a scenic overnight cruise through the Baltic Archipelago to explore 19th century sights in modern Helsinki, Finland.
