Parents of the Band

1980s one-hit wonder Phil Parker decides to manage his son's band, much to their dismay. But Phil gets more than he bargained for when the other parents decide they want a say in the band's future too.

The band lands its first official gig. Will they be ready? Will they finally settle on a name? And why does Phil keep telling his son that he loves him?

The band is on work experience, which means less time for rehearsals, but oddly more time with the parents. Phil learns Jack has been smoking and makes a deal that he will give up coffee if Jack ditches the cigarettes. But is his willpower stronger than his addiction to caffeine?

Sandy agrees to a date, which then looks in jeopardy when Phil invites a girl Jack fancies to join the band. The parents and the rest of the band are not impressed. Has Phil ruined his chances?

When Phil ropes in the band to play at his parents' 50th wedding anniversary, the other parents are furious that he has arranged a gig behind their backs. Meanwhile, Phil's dad refuses to enjoy himself.

Phil is unhappy that the band have entered a low-rent school talent contest. But when he learns they face stiff competition from a girl band, he decides they must win at all costs.
