After leaving the Mils Ruins, Touka asks Mist—or rather, the half-elf, Seras Ashrain who was hiding her identity, to guard him on his way to the Land of Golden-Eyed Monsters. Seras happily accepts, and they promise to meet up once the lord's celebration party is over. However, Seras doesn't show up to meet Touka even well past their agreed upon time—

Civit Gartland, the man known as Humanity's Strongest, along with the five dragoons come for Seras' life. Then they learn that the one who hired them to end Seras was Neah's Holy Emperor, Ortola - the man she had served faithfully.
